“Talent and Intelligence win Games, but through Teamwork We can become Champions”, was the focal point of Intramural Celebration held at Libas National High School, August 14-15, 2017.

Even though the event was pushed back because of the unfavorable weather during the month of July, the prayer for a sunny weather was finally answered. Together with the principal of Libas National High School Dr. Jeanie T. Verceles and the whole teaching force of LNHS, the said event started with a parade where loud screams of excitement and joy from the students of all year levels from Grade 7 to Grade 12 and the Alternative Learning System (ALS) reverberate in the surroundings. After the parade, it was followed immediately by the Salute to the Flag, Opening Prayer, and the Pangasinan Hymn accompanied by an Audio Visual Presentation. Mr. Jerick G. Tagulao, the MAPEH Coordinator gave the opening remarks for the exciting event particularly on the part of the students followed by selected students with a special number. Then the Barangay Captain of Libas, Hon. Joel M. Paronable and the PTA President Mr. Eduardo Reyes gave their messages for the competing teams. 

Afterwards, Mrs. Lioaoa P. Mejia, the G10 Adviser, presented the six (6) teams, with Samuel Resuello a swimmer from the R1AA led the Oath of Amateurism trailed by Mrs. Concepcion I. Lavarias, the G7 Adviser, for the Meet Officials Oath. Next, Ms. Jane Krissel F. Buizon, a LNHS athlete lighted the symbolic torch. The releasing of friendship balloons was led by our very own principal Dr. Jeanie T. Verceles together with Head teacher Mr. John Mendoza and the advisers. Finally, Dr. Jeanie Verceles officially opened the Intramural 2017. There were six competing teams in the two day intramural. Grade 7: Green Team; Grade 8: Gray Team; Grade 9: Red Team; Grade 10: Blue Team; Grade 11: Yellow Team and Grade 12; Maroon Team.

After a grueling battle, all teams gathered together in camaraderie for the awarding of winners wherein they received their prizes and certificates. Everybody was so tense that you can almost feel a different kind of competitive atmosphere as everyone waited for the announcement of winners. As the teams were called they shouted their cheer. 

The overall champions were the Grade 11 Yellow Team, followed by the Grade 12 Maroon Team for the 1^st Place, next is the Grade 10 Blue Team who settled for 2^nd Place and Grade 8 Gray Team bagged the 3^rd Place.

The two-day event featured different ball and mind games to show their hidden skills and talents and also to enhance what they already have and to challenge the students of Libas National High School in their quest to become champions.
